The 7th of February is the 15-year anniversary of Black Saturday – a harrowing event that was amongst the worst fires in Australian history.
Today, we remember the 173 lives lost and reflect on the impact of the fires, which continues to be felt to this day.
Today, at the eleventh hour, on the eleventh day, of the eleventh month, we remember those who served our country in times of need, and who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
Lest we forget
FRV’s thoughts are with our emergency services colleagues at this very challenging time. A reminder of the sacrifices made in service of the community.
Today we say goodbye to Andrew Crisp, who finishes up as Emergency Services Commissioner after five years.
He said "its been a privilege working with community and the amazing people who make up our emergency management sector".
All the best, Andrew.
