Individually there isnt one call that is a “travesty” particularly. But the aggregate effect of these calls is that the opportunities we could’ve had to build some attacking momentum were all nullified and we just continued to be put under pressure as a result
In a way, this is what people dislike about us. We love it of course. But, so many "pundits" make banal comments because they believe them which don't stack up. Eze has had the greatest 12 months of his career. FAC, Charity Shield, Prem winner, runner up in LC and CL and will play at WC. So yeah, ask him how he's feeling. I'm sure he's regretted every minute of the last 12 months.
Far better people than me express facts against these types of statements, Adam good example below.
Arsenal fans remember everything. EVERYTHING!
So want to come out with stupid takes, then expect to look stupid!
I am just back from the Oval and I regret to inform you that London has in fact fallen.
More Arsenal shirts than Surrey shirts. Forget about Palace or Charlton.
Arsenal fans everywhere in South London. Yesterday I was in East London at my parents - their local pub had more Arsenal fans in it than West Ham fans for the Conference League 3 years ago. Lots more. Not even close.
The "London FC" people are right. I don't like it, but they're right. And given the way that London tends to eat the world, don't get smug if you're outside of London. If we have half a decade of Arsenal dominance, by the end of it they'll have taken over Liverpool and Manchester too and the economy will be one giant Arsenal merch store with a few farms and data centres tacked on.
Foreign leaders will grant profitable trade and visa deals in return for being allowed exclusive pre-access to the new Declan Rice hologram experience in the Emirates Museum.
The ref came out for the second half on a mission to engineer a specific result here. Booked Mosquera inside a minute, gave every soft call to heap pressure on Arsenal. Now that.
Truly incredible the way Foden can disappear for 7 months, get 2 assists against a Crystal Palace B team, 1 of which was accidental, and it’s straight back to this 🤣
@wavygooner This is definitely true to a certain extent. The homegrown players mean more to us because essentially we’re living vicariously through them. MLS and Nwaneri are Islington boys playing for Arsenal we simply do care for them more.
Doesn’t mean we don’t also love the rest…
The single most pathetic and plastic fanbase and club of all time. They think people like them but the only reason people want them to win is because they know they have zero stature, respect or influence on English football and culture. They will never be an Arsenal, Liverpool or Man United.
@BonesAndEllie 12 Angry Men is more like a play than a film. It’s obviously great just don’t think it’s particularly ’cinematic’ and for that reason it doesn’t get near my Top 100 films of all time
So let me get this straight:
The officials follow the letter of the law when it comes to the CL handball rule, regardless of how nonsensical it is (ball off the knee, going completely sideways) but then suddenly decide to be subjective when it comes to a player getting stepped on in the box, call made on the pitch and no clear evidence to overturn. Absolute bullshit.
#arsenal
Michael Olise, Bayern Munich 25-26.
Quite possibly the world's best/most dangerous playmaker right now. That also makes his shooting better because you can't overplay him on either foot inside the box.
@GemOfAmara 4 is phenomenal. The only criticism is I’m not sure it’s exactly a ‘kids’ film. Like Woody having an existential crisis is not massively relatable for a child but who cares I grew up with the franchise and was about 23 when 4 came out - perfect
