Sad to hear of the sudden passing of senator @LindseyGrahamSC.
A personal friend. A supporter of @NATO and Ukraine. A Transatlanticist. A friend of Finland.
Our link to South Carolina was a springboard for a great partnership. Not a week went by without an exchange of ideas.
Thank you for everything you did to keep the US and Europe intact. You will be missed by many of us.
Lindsey Graham’s dedication to the cause of freedom inspired the oppressed and chastened the tyrants. A most fitting tribute to his life will be the unwavering support for the people of Ukraine.
Alexander Dugin, one of Putin’s advisors, recently called for Senator Lindsey Graham to be killed. He said the world would be better without Graham.
Yesterday, Lindsey Graham was in Ukraine meeting with @ZelenskyyUa Zelensky and called for more sanctions against Russia and pledged more US support for Ukraine.
One day later, Lindsey Graham is dead.
There needs to be an investigation!
Another day of Russia raining missiles down on Ukraine and terrorizing peaceful civilians trying to live their lives.
Don’t look away.
Stand with Ukraine🇺🇦
@mike98572986 Reminder of what $QURE had to say in their June 17 press release. Remember, $REPL received a very quick reply to their submission as to acceptance and PDUFA. QURE used similar language in the June PR as REPL did when they announced their alignment. Hope we get same rapid reply.
On June 4, I joined @karlmiran at the @FDA to speak not only as a Huntington's disease advocate, but as someone living this reality every single day.
Huntington's disease doesn't wait.
It doesn't pause while policies are debated or timelines are extended. Every day of delay means more brain cells lost, more independence taken, and more families watching the people they love disappear.
My grandmother died from HD.
My father is living with mid-stage HD.
My aunt is further along.
My family and I are among those at risk because Huntington's disease has been passed through generations of our family.
That's why I urged @US_FDA to ensure Huntington's disease is prioritized through the Commissioner's National Priority Voucher (CNPV) Pilot Program.
When promising HD therapies are ready, families should not lose precious time to avoidable regulatory delays. Fatal, progressive neurodegenerative diseases deserve urgency.
Thank you to everyone who continues to stand with the HD community and advocate for faster access to promising therapies. A special thank you to @karlmiran for standing beside me and for your unwavering leadership.
Please help us urge @US_FDA to make Huntington's disease a true national priority. Families like mine do not have the luxury of time.

For Peter Pitts, who previously served as FDA associate commissioner, regulatory action around rare disease drugs in 2026 can be divided into two phases—the first four months of the year under former CBER Director Vinay Prasad and the past eight weeks. “I think with Dr. Prasad’s departure, FDA has returned to its senses as being a partner in innovation rather than a critic of innovation,” Pitts told BioSpace.
Pitts had a different perspective on the meeting’s purpose, however. “I don’t think it’s a question of mending fences,” he said, adding that no one is singing “kumbaya.”
“I think what this indicates is the FDA’s willingness to recognize that sponsors have an equal voice in the process and need to be listened to rather than dictated to,” he continued.
Amy Comstock Rick, associate director for Rare Disease Strategy and director of Strategic Coalitions at CDER’s Rare Disease Innovation Hub, told BioSpace on the sidelines of BIO 2026. But with the MAHA report’s emphasis on common, chronic diseases, “rare may not have had the level of prioritization they’ve had before,” she added. “I think in the last six weeks that’s been brought back a little bit.”

I have congratulated President Trump @POTUS and all Americans on the Independence Day. We’ve had a very good phone call.
We are grateful to the United States for all the assistance we have received – from Javelins and Patriots to political support – and we deeply value that America stands by us in defending our independence. I am grateful to every American heart that cares about the future of Ukraine, Europe, and everyone around the world for whom freedom matters.
Of course, President Trump and I discussed the current situation on the frontline as well as our diplomatic efforts. There is a real prospect to put an end to this war, and America’s resolve is decisive. We have agreed to continue these discussions during the NATO Summit in Ankara.
Thank you, the United States! Thank you, Mr. President! Happy Fourth of July! Wishing Americans continued prosperity and every success.
