SpEd paralegal/Advocate/Disabilities Rights Activist. I am NOT an attorney. All opinions are my own. I didn't sign up to make friends, I signed up to be a mom.
@Dodgers when you gave up on being a fan because they were not ada friendly to me. Why would I bring him. @Padres 3rd game and the padres staff always delivers. #autismawareness
@carlypearce looking forward to seeing you tonight in Fantasy Springs. It will be the first time Ive seen you since my older kids gave me a break from sitting with my dying husband to watch their brother with autism and keep their dad company so I could have night to relax.
@SteveHiltonx@GloriaJRomero The majority of people with family members with disabilities vote Dem. Why is that? Oh their candidates want to talk to the Lanterman Coalition. @SteveHiltonx team decline. The Rep are going in the wrong direction to ignore our community. #notgoingaway
@ericchurch you shouldn’t wait 1.5 hours to sing songs we know. I felt like @Stagecoach all over again. Once shame on you, twice shame on me. Live and learn.
@MLB another day, another post season game I can’t watch! They are happy to take your $30, but refuse to disclose you need cable to watch. Then refuse to give back my money. #makebaseballfunagain
@MLB when you can’t use your $29.99 post season pass because you don’t have cable. So you have to go to the local bar and sit for how many innings? Oh wait it’s not over and we are in the 15th. All the mlb apps make baseball no fun!!
6/15/24 just under 10 months from losing my husband. I was @walkerhayes waiting to hear his fav song Fancy Like, when I heard Ed’s good friend had passed that morning & I missed the song! Finally heard it tonight a year later. I cried & I smiled. It was a good night.
Grateful to @asmcoreyjackson for giving me the opportunity to speak out against Governor Newsom’s proposed cuts to In-Home Supportive Services.
Reducing overtime pay for IHSS workers from 70 to 50 hours is not just a budget issue, it’s a dangerous move that puts lives at risk.
My son has cerebral palsy with spastic quadriplegia. He cannot use his arms or legs, cannot speak, and relies on a feeding tube. I know firsthand how devastating these cuts would be—not just for my family, but for Californians who depend on this care to survive.
I hear the voices of the disability community loud and clear. I will continue to be a voice for them and urge Governor Newsom to preserve these critical services. For many, this isn’t about convenience—it’s about life and death.
@autismspeaks wtf do you do for families like mine? I’ll tell you for free I have done more awareness in 20 years than you have for $60M a year. Can you actually do something? I’m tired of having to explain my adult to the people you are supposed to make aware.
