Albertans were asked to guess how much of our healthcare budget goes to non-permanent residents.
The guesses? 15%-50%.
The reality? Just 1%
The budget strain isn't coming from immigrants. It's coming from UCP government choices.
Vote NO on October 19

I will be voting NO to the first 9 questions, voting for #Alberta to stay a part of Canada for question 10... For question 11, "Do you want @ABDanielleSmith to resign", I will be voting YES. #ableg#abpoli
“Albertans are angry,” says the woman who never misses an opportunity to create and stoke anger. It’s time for us to turn our anger against the people who are trying to manipulate us, not against each other.
After seven years of UCP mismanagement, Alberta’s NDP has a plan to transform health care.
Alberta’s NDP believes in a future where every Albertan can get the care they need, when they need it. A future where a strong public health care system delivers world-class care, supports health care workers, and works seamlessly across the province.
Within three years, Alberta’s NDP will deliver shorter wait times, timely access to a family doctor or primary care provider, integrated and connected care, and a better health care system that works for all Albertans.

For some of our neighbours in the Downtown Eastside, the first meal of the day is a warm, delicious breakfast at FIRST UNITED.
Since we moved into our new building, we’ve started serving breakfast in addition to our daily lunch service.
With our new commercial kitchen, dining hall and other drop-in spaces, we have the capacity to increase our food service by over 50% to provide 180,000 meals per year.
Will you help us expand our impact in the community and give $25, or whatever you can, to provide essentials, like the first and second meal of the day, for our neighbours in the DTES? You’ll give more than just food, you’ll provide access to dignity, belonging and justice for more of our neighbours in the community.
Make a $25 gift here: https://t.co/hDxqFhtZ30 👈🏼
Your gift will help:
• buy quality protein, fresh produce, dairy and grains for balanced meals;
• purchase dishes, cutlery, utilities and napkins;
• cover maintenance of our appliances;
• hire more cooks and kitchen staff; and
• much more to ensure the community has everything they need and deserve.
This show is worth watching if you can. I think of it every year when this day comes. At this moment in time it’s particularly moving. 🇺🇸💙🇨🇦

BREAKING: Oilers superfan Mama Stanley says she will not support the team while Alex Formenton is signed.
She noted he was acquitted but said she is standing with the woman in that case and cannot cheer the club’s decision.
She said Mama Stanley still belongs to her, not the organization.

Former US Ambassador to Ukraine:
“I served as our Ambassador in Ukraine for 3 years under Putin’s missiles and drones but resigned when Trump kept appeasing Putin.
America does not bow to dictators. It’s not who we are.
Here’s why this Trump-Putin so-called ‘peace plan’ is a disaster:
The plan gives Putin a clear victory:
• Ukraine ceding territory it now holds, after 4 years of fighting;
• Reducing Ukraine’s military by over half, making it weak;
• No NATO enlargement, giving Putin a veto over NATO.
This is unthinkable for Ukraine and undermines U.S. national security.
Appeasing dictators never achieves long-term peace. It didn’t work in 1938 — and it won’t work now.”

Awesome woman
😉
I agree with every sentence..
Thank you for standing with Ukraine.🇺🇦🫡
Always celebrate, support, & thank First Nations!
They’ve been on the correct side of history since the white man set foot in the Americas (& before).
