Religious harmony is not produced by identity checks at the gate. It is produced when people treat each other’s festivals as part of a shared public life rather than as exclusive property.
Garba is a Hindu religious-cultural practice centred on worship of the Goddess. That fact does not disappear just because the event also involves music and dance. At the same time, India has a long record of Hindus visiting Ajmer Sharif and other dargahs without becoming Muslim, and of people from different communities joining cultural celebrations without adopting every theological claim attached to them. Selective exclusion based on religion treats the second tradition as illegitimate while treating the first as normal.
A better standard is simple: anyone who enters with respect for the occasion, no disruption, no mockery of the rituals, no pretence that the festival is just a party, can participate. Organisers already have the right to enforce dress, behaviour, and security rules. They do not need a community-wide ban to do so.
The Constitution does not require every festival to become a secular carnival. It also does not authorise turning public celebrations into religious checkpoints. Harmony lasts longer when the first instinct is “join with respect” rather than “keep them out.”

A 1909 stamp on a brick does not prove ownership of collectorate land.

Khasra 539, Pathanpura, is recorded as Kesari Hind / kachahri collectorate land since fasli 1296 (1888–89), 1324 and 1359. No mosque appears in those records.

The district judge upheld that finding, rejected the 1 Jan 1911 electricity bill and municipal papers as title, and noted waqf papers citing two different numbers with no khasra link.
The court also held the Places of Worship Act did not apply because there was no documentary proof of a pre-1947 mosque on that plot.
State case: a litigants’ rest house later converted, rooms rented, 315 sq m occupied. Penalty: ₹6.41 crore for decades of unauthorised use. Numbers on debris bricks (1909, 1911, 43) are unverified manufacture dates. The older Lakhori-brick well found underneath is a separate structure still under archaeological assessment.
It does not rewrite the land record.
