An orange cat accidentally fell into a lion pit, but instead of becoming food, the lioness took him in.

A zoo went into panic after an orange cat somehow slipped through the grounds and fell into the lion exhibit.

Luckily, there wasn’t a full pride inside. There was only one lioness. But that didn’t make it any less terrifying.

Staff expected the worst when the lioness walked toward him, but instead of attacking, she gently picked him up, carried him to her resting spot, and kept him close like he belonged there. The orange cat didn’t run.

He stayed beside her, slept near her, and acted like he had no idea he was supposed to be afraid. Zoo staff eventually sedated the lioness long enough to safely remove the cat, but that’s when the story became even stranger.

For days, the lioness stopped eating. She paced, searched the enclosure, and refused food like something had been taken from her. Many believed she had been lonely and somehow found comfort in the tiny cat who wasn’t scared of her.

So under careful supervision, staff brought the orange cat back.

The moment he returned, the lioness calmed down and finally ate again with him nearby.

The zoo knew it was a risk. But in a strange way, the cat who fell into danger may have become the one thing keeping her heart alive.

He was supposed to be prey, but somehow became her reason to eat again.

.@McDonalds is finally listening to their customers. They’re bringing back the FRIED apple pies that were discontinued here for more than 30 years. I’ve already checked and it will be at our local McDonald’s here in North Carolina!

Now they just need to work on serving HOT burgers with MELTED cheese! They made a big push about a year ago to have hot sandwiches with melted, gooey cheese, but now they seem to have forgotten about that. The last several Quarter Pounders I’ve gotten at different locations had cold cheese—yuck.

Christopher Palmer’s family has made the heartbreaking decision to stop the search for their 39-year-old son after learning he had been living with a terminal illness. What began as a trip through the mountains turned into a journey that took him across several forests before he disappeared.

His family said Christopher stayed in touch along the way, sharing updates and even a video, though he mentioned the signal was too weak for a phone call. Weeks later, his truck was found abandoned on a North Carolina beach, far from the route he had originally planned. Investigators later traced phone activity to locations along the Outer Banks.

The family believes Christopher eventually walked into the ocean and passed away. Personal belongings found along the shoreline helped them reach that painful conclusion. While devastated, they said understanding his illness has helped them make sense of the choices he made and brought them some peace.

They also believe Christopher spent time caring for his beloved dog, Zoey, during her final days. The elderly German Shepherd had been by his side since she was a puppy and was suffering from serious health problems. His family feels he stayed with her until the end, laid her to rest, and then continued his journey alone. Grateful for the many volunteers and rescuers who searched for him, the family now asks for privacy as they seek closure.

Phoebe had to go to the vets yesterday, she's not very well with high kidney figures and pancreatic enzymes on her blood work. Plan is a change of medication for her arthritis and a special diet, plus a prescription drink. On anti nausea and just taking it gently today 💖

@Rags0910 @ABC Overweight people can change their apperance....you sir will continue to look like a run over horse face no matter how many plastic surgeries you have because of your arse attitude. Not everyone on weight loss help or that is Overweight is lazy. It's called metabolism, meds etc.

UPDATE: Leonard’s been found, alive and well, by a local lady who recognised him from the fliers/posts. Thanks to everyone who helped by sharing etc, and thanks also to all the dumb trolls who responded with abuse/mockery… for giving us a good laugh.

We had to say goodbye to Baker over the weekend. He was absolutely the sweetest boy and brought limitless joy to our lives. We find comfort knowing he is with his brother Fenway and countless other friends. Thank you for loving him. ❤️ #SwaggyB
