I am deeply saddened to learn of Walter Koenig’s passing.
Although we did not know each other well away from the set, we shared the later seasons of the original Star Trek series and the six films that followed.
What I observed, and what so many fans have expressed over the years, was a man who genuinely loved the Star Trek community.
At conventions, Walter was rarely content to remain behind a signing table. He preferred to be among the people who had kept Star Trek alive for so many decades.
That kind of genuine connection is rare, and it will be remembered by everyone who came into contact with him.
My condolences to his family, his friends, and the countless fans whose lives he touched.
Let me be clear: Our State Troopers deserve a fair contract, competitive compensation, and our full support and respect. What they don’t deserve is the perception that their contract could be tied to a political endorsement.
To every State Trooper serving with honor: I will always stand behind you, respect your service, and fight to eliminate even the appearance of corruption in government. Supporting law enforcement and demanding government accountability go hand in hand.

How much snow this winter? We'll discuss it after...
Our first dry weekend in 2 months started off frosty on "Not In A Hurry Sunday" live from Cape Cod. We have the nicest weather in the world right now. But it can't last. First an easy 7 day forecast. But once we hit November, we get back into the action. We offer up some winter forecasts for New England today. Several seasoned meteorologists from The Blue Hill Observatory are calling for a stormy New England winter.
We even offer up some specific snowfall guesses. n'more; Maine Coon Cat Steve is back.
A few snippets from Southern New England climate and weather conference. Words for Phil Klotzbach, Jason Brewer, Matt Douglass, Amanda Joly, and moi.
Plus a fabulous farm party fundraiser for 'Local helping Locals on a magnificent Cape Cod day, the 14th annual Eldredge Farm Party.

@DawnsMission Last February after having 3 serious viruses on & off starting in Nov, I lost my taste & my smell since the middle of Feb. The only thing I can taste is salt and sugar. I never did a Covid test during those viruses, but I’m assuming maybe I did have it.
@WilliamShatner Mr Shatner, I just saw a short video of you talking about your fear of death. There is no fear in death when you follow Jesus Christ as your Savior. Ask Jesus to help you understand about Him. It’s not too late. He will show you the way to go. Pray and follow the Lord 🙏
I spoke with a woman in her 70s yesterday who was told she had breast cancer after a very small lump was found. It was removed, she received radiation, and now she’s scheduled for mammograms every six months. At her age, many of these slow-growing findings would never have caused harm, yet the treatment and ongoing radiation have turned a watch-and-wait situation into a lifelong concern. This is the problem with screening that finds issues better left alone—especially when non-invasive imaging options exist that don’t involve compression or radiation.
All of this is true & I appreciate the mention of my tweet from last year!

Nine ballot questions on the MA statewide ballot this year. Here's a link to how I'd be voting if I hadn't made it over the wall & escaped to Free America.
