Accountability & communication
We have repeatedly sought answers from the relevant departments
IMMEDIATE need a clear written record of outstanding issues
RESPONSIBLE officers or DEPARTMENTS state how each issue will be resolved 1621/26/FUL
For a great many winters, our pubs have kept us warm, and together. Pubs should never be overtaxed or forced into being expensive. They're there to unite and maintain each community within Britain and Ireland.

Missing unclear plans & supporting 📃
We have previously reported that additional drawings were being chased but not visible on the public planning portal
Written confirmation of exactly which documents have been received, which remain outstanding
#MondayQuestions@WestDevon_BC
Tunnel integrity & development proximity
We have raised the tunnel's condition, the reported 30-metre restriction & the proposed works nearby
We need relevant plans, engineering evidence & legal documents examined by the appropriate bodies

Heritage & archaeology 1621/26/FUL
The pre-application advice says a Heritage Impact Assessment would be required.
The developer has not submitted one
We need the council to explain how heritage impacts & below ground archaeology will be assessed.
🚨@WestDevon_BC@DevonAlert@CllrBrazil
If the council overrides a 30m no-build covenant, allows houses to be built in that 30m & the tunnel subsequently collapses.
Is Council & their contracted developers/engineers legally & financially responsible for the collapse ⁉️POSSIBLY‼️
Questions answer them @DevonCC@WestDevon_BC
Has the drainage evidence answered local concerns ⁉️
With concerns raised about saturated ground existing soakaways & proposed foul drainage arrangements, what independent evidence supports the proposal
We want our pub not a sink hole
The questions are simple @WestDevon_BC@DevonCC
Who is accountable if something goes wrong on this site ⁉️
If serious drainage or structural concerns have been raised, who is responsible for ensuring they have been properly investigated before a decision is made⁉️
#SaveOurPub
Transparency for Devon’s Council Tax payers @WestDevon_BC@DevonCC
All we want is to save our #CommunityHub
But we have so many questions that are not being answered.
This is not a simple site it’s layered with pitfalls & legal problems.

WHERE WILL THE WASTE WATER GO?
The Halfway House proposal raises serious questions about foul drainage, soakaways, saturated ground & neighbouring properties What evidence demonstrates that the proposed system is suitable, particularly during prolonged heavy 🌧️ @WestDevon_BC
WHO IS TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE TUNNEL
A historic railway tunnel runs beneath the Halfway House site & forms part of Drake’s Trail
What engineering & geological evidence been provided to demonstrate that the proposed development & drainage are safe

🚨 GRENOfEN WHERE IS THE ACCOUNTABILITY?
Why is planning application 1621/26/FUL to turn Halfway House/Drake’s Cafe into🏡still progressing while serious questions remain about drainage, the historic railway tunnel, protected 🦇& public access
Who’s assessing risks @WestDevon_BC
What will happen if you allow a developer to dispose of 3,500 litres of foul water a day directly under the access road onto a historic 🚂 tunnel.
Plan app 1621/26/FUL this has to be been given due diligence.
@WestDevon_BC@DevonCC@DevonAlert#Planning#A1 issues @Geoffrey_Cox
.@WestDevon_BC you own the tunnel you have the TP1 with the restricted covenants.
What happens if you breach your own covenants⁉️
Surely not for an opportunistic development #Planning
Hope you don’t expect council tax payers to 🦶the bill if you are taken to court for the breach
