The US History: Breaking the Law! Breaking the Law! students ran a mock court of the famous Rosenberg conspiracy trial. Students investigated the case and asked "what if" questions about the strategies of the prosecution and defense.
The Daisy Art Parade was a wonderful time. We'd like give a big shout out to our own Brian Counihan and the work he puts in to making this fabulous day happen every year. We also loved seeing many members of our CHS community out and about participating in a variety of ways. 🐤
Our advanced students enrolled in our Spanish humanities course took the Global Seal of Biliteracy exam. All six passed, earning their certificates. We’d like to congratulate Olivia, Jupiter, Emma, Lily, Paxton, and Wilson on their impressive achievement!

If you missed the Voices of Appalachia concert last weekend, Jen will be filling in for a friend at the Roanoque Baroque concerts this weekend! The program is a mix of choral and instrumental works that haven't been performed in almost 300 years.

Derek, our math intern and CS/Math Club leader, recently visited Harvey Mudd College where he met mathematician Francis Su. Professor Su is the author of "Mathematics for Human Flourishing", a book he’s using in his internship with Jess.

On Saturday our🎵CHS Band🎶took to the stage at the annual Roanoke Strawberry Festival. They sounded wonderful and we loved seeing so many friendly faces out in the audience.

A wide range of fun was had during our last Game Night! 🎮♦ 🎲Faculty and students played Wii Sports golf, Mario Bros Wii, card games, and tabletop games.

The Seniors were treated to an overnight stay at Jess's amazing lake house on Smith Mountain Lake. They had the chance to relax and hang out, shoot pool, play ping pong, swim, and boat. Thanks, Jess, for giving the seniors this chance to kick back together before graduation.
