Big bird, little birds. In today’s Nature Discovery Camp, we studied the California Condor, North America’s largest bird, and Hummingbirds, North America’s smallest birds. The campers are seeing the actual size of a Condor’s wingspan, which is almost 10’! #redriverch#redrivernm
Day 2 of Nature Discovery Camp featured a field trip to the Upper Valley for bird observation and learning about bird feeders. One of the highlights was a confirmed sighting of a Bald Eagle. Other activities included eating with various types of “bird beaks” and a seed relay.
