Remember the heavy rains a little while ago? If you were wondering how CLCH has navigated the rain + COVID-19 protocol, here's your update: Thanks to our Staff and Volunteers, we were able to successfully handle the weather all while hosting the medical and dental teams.
We are now back to serving at both locations! Lunches at Central Lutheran (across from Cal Anderson) Tuesdays and Fridays from 12-1 pm. Dinners at All Pilgrims (Broadway and Republican) on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5-6pm. We are still serving outside and to go only .
Happy Juneteenth to our Black friends and neighbors. Though it is a day to celebrate an end to slavery, it is not an end to injustice and systemic racism. Unfortunately, due to safety concerns, we are discontinuing operations at Central Lutheran Church indefinitely.
This marks a pause in over 35 years of continuous service out of this facility. Fortunately, we were able to quickly move our operations to All Pilgrims Christian Church where we will continue to serve our most vulnerable neighbors.
We have very limited cold storage so non-perishable products are preferred. That includes bottled water and juices, fruit, snacks, masks and other first-aid items.
Together we can unite to end injustice and systemic racism.
Community Lunch on Capitol Hill stands united against police brutality and systemic racism. We will be offering extended hours of operation through the weekend in support of #BlackLivesMatter. Thanks to a very generous donation of supplies from Tim Besse, co-founder of Glassdoor
we will be offering drinks, fruits, snacks, masks and other items in front of Central Lutheran Church (1710 11th Ave) 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM starting tonight through Sunday. If interested in donating additional items please drop off between 3 PM and 7 PM Friday through Sunday.
