The Promoting Community Policing project held 3 roundtables on pretrial detention in Lebanon, bringing together ISF officers, judges, lawyers, and experts to discuss solutions for prison overcrowding, focusing on pretrial detainees who make up the majority.

In Tripoli today and Gemmayze last week, we inaugurated newly rehabilitated @LebISF stations thanks to the EU funded Community Policing Project. The works modernised these facilities and created a safer space for police and citizens to engage with each other.
Funded by the EU in Lebanon, and in collaboration with the ISF and MEHE, we organized an impactful series of awareness sessions on #CyberSecurity and #RoadSafety for different schools across #Lebanon.

Within the framework of the project, funded by the EU in Lebanon, municipal police officers at the Union of Municipalities of Bekaa are now equipped with official uniforms approved by the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities.

This interactive workshop aims to extend the projectsโ efforts to enhance the ISF response to such cases in different areas of the country, and to have more systematic processes and a strategic approach for identifying and investigating GBV cases in their daily missions.
Within the framework of the Community Policing Project, and in collaboration with the ISF, we successfully conducted a needs assessment for the ISF focal points on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) across Lebanon.
