Expect @realDonaldTrump to pull out many of his old chestnuts in the coming weeks calculated to outrage and provoke his opponents, set cable afire and gin up his base. Immigration, kneeling, etc.
He is Pavlov. We are the dogs.
I was reminded recently of these last two stanzas from Jane Hirshfield's lovely poem "The Weighing." Or rather, I am reminded of them at least once a day. (The whole book is pure medicine: https://t.co/iPSQCZIHYU)
Can we please not debate this as Democrats and Republicans but discuss this as Americans? In the comments if you see someone you dissagree with do not attack each other talk to one another, this applies to me too. WE MUST WORK TOGETHER TO SAVE OUR FUTURE.
Ambiguity in how mass shootings are defined may result in increased media coverage that influences public perception w/o better informing understanding of the prevalence of mass shootings or their determinants, trends, social costs, or policy implications. https://t.co/Brn6Pq4CNB
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” -Margaret Mead. Parkland students, you are leading the way. And we are with you. #MarchForOurLives
This isn't research, it's propaganda. At the height of the AFAM academic fraud scandal, UNC's men's basketball team had an APR of 995. NCAA has abdicated any responsibility over quality of education athletes receive. APR is meaningless as measure of education. https://t.co/vNyloVpnkY
All should appreciate the FBI speaking up. I wish more of our leaders would. But take heart: American history shows that, in the long run, weasels and liars never hold the field, so long as good people stand up. Not a lot of schools or streets named for Joe McCarthy.
That’s it? Dishonest and misleading memo wrecked the House intel committee, destroyed trust with Intelligence Community, damaged relationship with FISA court, and inexcusably exposed classified investigation of an American citizen. For what? DOJ & FBI must keep doing their jobs.
Yesterday, Senator Jeff Flake gave one of the most important speeches in Congress in over a decade, and highlighted the destructive nature of the President’s assault on our free press.

The arc of the moral universe bends toward justice, but it doesn’t get there on its own. “In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.” Martin Luther King, Jr.
I’m proud to live in a country where you do belong, and that welcomed you as a citizen, and where you are a leader and give so much. Anybody who wanted to take that kind of country away would have to pry it from my cold, dead hands. USA. https://t.co/Xic0OhRfux
When my ancestors came here, they faced anti-Semitism. Every wave of immigrants have faced discrimination and gone on to contribute so much to our nation. I don’t expect this President to understand that, so rest of us must redouble our efforts to be inclusive, kind and welcoming
