Compass Europe invites you to our Zoom Café on 18 January at 7.30pm CET. We will be talking about one of the most popular and exiting topics - Financial Freedom - but from the Biblical perspective as we usually do.⬇️⬇️
Many people link these two things directly - money and freedom. And at the first glance it seems logical: if I have money I can choose my lifestyle, my social circle and even my country of residence. But research shows that this is not the case. Why?⬇️⬇️
The #Lord promises to provide our needs. “Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things (food, shelter and clothing) shall be given to you”
- Matthew 6:33

And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your #own#business, and to #work with your own hands, as we commanded you; that ye may walk #honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.
1 Thessalonians 4:11-12

Bert den Hertog:
"If we look around we see a lot of darkness, because of the shorter days and longer nights but more about what is going on in the world for example the war in Ukraine, but so many other bad things are happening nowadays in our countries and in the world.⬇️
For some of us in our personal lives - facing big challenges or darkness: lost of a friend, or illness... It gives a kind of feeling that darkness will win and has won forever. It brings the question: is there still light or hope or we will altogether go under into #darkness?.⬇️
#Money should be a very neutral topic – it is merely a means to facilitate exchange of goods, is it not? Money in itself is indeed neutral, neither good or bad, but it carries a #power to facilitate our will – both for good and for bad ends.
Using #money is intensely emotional and therefore personal. There is also a #spiritual component to money. #Jesus unmasked this power behind money which he called ‘#mammon.’ He explained that this power is able to influence us to serve this power and even love it (Matthew 6:25)
Jesus’ mission was totally focussed on helping people develop #spiritual assets and through this to enhance all of our #God-given gifting and talents. #JesusChrist
