Last Tuesday, our community cadets stepped back in time with an amazing visit to the Lancashire Mining Museum.
From exploring the site’s rich industrial history to learning about the lives of miners who once worked there, it was a day full of insight, teamwork, and reflection.
Proud of our cadets for their curiosity and respect throughout the trip!

Here at Compassion in Action, we were honoured to host the 'Book Launch' as a tribute to Mr. Tom Boardman, titled 'The Ukulele Man' (a local hero).
A film all about Tom's time as a prisoner of war of the Japanese and his Ukulele, presented by the author, Mr. Ray Withnall, and Tom's son, Mr. Ron Boardman, a very moving and compelling true story, enjoyed by all.
A sincere thanks to Jo Platt MP for taking the time to attend and speak at the event, which meant so much to Ron, Tom's son.
