1 thing at @DDNMagazine#DDNConference that could easily go under the radar...
No speakers were framed in isolation. They were all part of a panel or team and vocally recognized this
No 1 person has all the answers to fix the complex issues we face as individuals & a collective
🗣️BuddyUp is now available for anyone using drugs across the UK and Republic of Ireland. We can reach all parts of the UK & people who in rural locations can access the same support as those living in a city.
📲There is no pressure on anyone using this service. A supporter will only see your location if you require emergency service support if you overdose.

A lot of amazing stuff at #DDNConference this morning has been about tackling #Stigma in all forms inc #Addiction
But even more than that it's been about #LivedExperience being more than just a catchphrase.
Truly turning 'With Us Not For Us' from theory into creative practice.
Incredible talk at #DDNConference by Alistair Bryant from @Cranstoun_org on the role community members can have in #Addiction#Recovery as peers, regardless of where they are in their own treatment journey.
Hearing about @Cranstoun_org#BuddyUp app at #DDNConference -
Tackling isolated #substance#overdose risks.
Creatively & radically meeting people where they are & investing in health, wellbeing & isolation.
Fantastic
We loved hearing @KarenBiggs4 of @PhoenixFutures1 and the voices of individual members of the Anti Stigma Network talk about the project at @DDNMagazine Conference. We need to work collaboratively to improve understanding of #stigma and challenge discrimination.

in the frame to be fined. The only officials being interviewed are “witnesses”. Their role is to help the police interpret the questionnaire answers they’ve received from others, to help confirm which events were in fact illegal parties and who should be fined.
My friend sent me this on five key ways to wellbeing – long-evidenced research shows that prioritising relationships, community and connection is one of the most important. Time for a more connected age.
A new public library in my area has these work stations for caregivers with babies! Maybe these are common in other places but Ive never seen anything like this before.
Police formally apologise over Dalian Atkinson death after officer’s conviction << News snuck out at Christmas. Please retweet. Pinned. https://t.co/xs40MWA7Id
If you work in the NHS and a patient tells you they’ve experienced trauma/ you see it on their record
Don’t be a dick
Hospitals aren’t exactly nice places anyway but it’s a whole other level and a tad of human decency isn’t fucking asking for much
Update: BBC bosses held the Q&A session with LGBTQ staff this morning.
One employee told me: “It was an absolute car crash. The bosses spoke a lot - but didn't really say anything. A trans colleague noted we were 40mins in but no trans people had spoken.”
To give you a glimpse into my day job as a case worker, I’ve made 3 coffees today and misplaced them all because social workers have shown up at my workplace to beg for help for their clients. Suddenly there’s too much demand to manage, shockingly right after the £20 UC cuts.
