Two pro hitters. 72.3 mph and 71.0 mph.
Same bat speed. Not the same hitter.
One had 22.1 g of rotational acceleration. The other had 7.
Bat speed is the most overrated number on your report. Here's what actually moves exit velo:

"Are you ready to play?" sounds like a small question. It's the biggest one in the game.

Four categories. Why it's not your coach's job. And the 1-2-3 formula for who can actually be counted on.

We out here throwing the "ELITE" word around a lot lately. Elite is not something, you buy or sign up for, or a team you join. Elite is a mindset & a way of going about doing things. You learn it & maintain it at the kitchen table & on the car ride home. It's not 4sale. It never has been & it never will be. If you're still unsure, the game will let you know you're not it.
The internet will have you thinking it's about your skill/talent when you really should be more concened with what type of person/human you are becoming. Are you becoming the person who can sustain success or are you chasing who you want people to think you are?
The mistake: training fall like it's spring.
Same drills. Different season. Wrong result.
Spring is a sharpening season — you're refining something already built, in-season, under a game schedule. Fall is a building season. Different intent, different volume, different tolerance for looking bad on the way through.
Run spring's plan in the fall and you'll peak beautifully in a month that doesn't matter.
Day 6 is up in The Inner Circle.

Summer just ended. Some good, some bad. Doesn't matter.
The next 5 weeks decide who shows up in October.
Fall doesn't start when you write it on the calendar. It starts with what you do in August. Recovery. Diagnostic. Rebuild. The trained coach uses this window like a season of its own — the season nobody plays.
Most coaches waste it. They rest for a week, then start banging out the same drills they were running in July. That's how you burn out a hitter before Fall season even starts.
So I'm running 7 mornings on the exact reset that puts your hitters in position to peak in October.
Day 1 dropped this morning inside The Inner Circle. Six more coming.

Good morning.
Day 7.
Read first. Time the pitch. Decide the swing. Decide the take. Bring a plan. Bring the right hitter for the count.
None of that is mechanics. None of that is exit velo. None of that is what most training focuses on. All of it is the trained hitter's actual job when they step in the box.
Own the box means: the at-bat is yours to run. Not the pitcher's. Yours. You bring the plan, the read, the timing, the decision. The pitcher brings the pitch. You choose what to do with it.
That's not swagger. That's a job description.
Every morning inside the Inner Circle we work this. Not the swing itself — that's cage work. What surrounds the swing. The read, the plan, the decision, the hitter your player becomes in every count. Full daily reads. Coaches asking real questions. Direct coaching on the specific hitters you're working with — baseball and softball alike.
If you're serious about closing the transfer gap — swing training you have, decision training is where the game is won — the door's open.

The take is a swing decision.
A hitter who can't hold her swing can't fire it either. Same read. Same clock. Same machinery. Different output.
Halfway through the series. The rest is inside the Inner Circle.
