It was so great to see so many smiling faces this morning during our Google Meet Up! I felt like we were back in the classroom. Miss all these kiddos so much! Can’t wait until the next meet! :)
Third graders worked hard while using the SOS strategy “silence is golden!��� They were so engaged while they watched a 4 minute video in complete silence and annotated about what they saw. They then went back and re-watched it with sound to see if their annotations were accurate!

Today in lit accel we read the story “The Fox and the Crane”. Students then utilized an SOS strategy to “tweet” about the important events in the story. The hashtags had me laughing and the students actually said, “I can’t wait to tweet more tomorrow!!” #creativity@JoyBunning
A4 As many of you have said, it’s important that your room is set up to allow for constant collaboration but also providing a variety of learning spaces to meet the needs of all our diverse learners.
Q2: Another thing I’ve seen a lot to promote the 4Cs and innovation at Stevenson is celebrating the Ss that are ASKING questions, not just answering them.
Q2: A big change I’ve implemented in my room this year are the 4cs during guided reading. In years passed guided was quiet and independent. Now students collaborate while they read, discuss, annotate, and create work related to the texts!

Today we traveled to NJ (from the comfort of our own classroom) to visit Thomas Edison’s laboratory. The “ooohs” and “ahhs” from the students were amazing when we saw the phonograph that we read about in shared reading!
