Welcome to Bedford Drive Primary School's Computing Twitter page. We hope that you enjoy sharing our learning in Computing and how to stay safe online.
Today is #SaferInternetDay2024 and we have taken part by sorting technology into different categories and how it has changed over the years. We then listened to the story of Mo and Jaz, we thought about their online dilemma π» πΉοΈ#EYFS#UW#OnlineSafety
We are celebrating #SaferIntenetDay π» We canβt wait to get our pupils involved and start discussions about what online safety means to them @UK_SIC
We enjoyed using the iPads this morning to consolidate our learning on repeating patterns π΅π§π΅π§ We took turns with our friends π«#UW#Mathematics#PSED
Thanks to @hiimpactconsult@HiimpactZack for a wonderful afternoon pond dipping on Friday! The children were engrossed in their learning! They observed pond creatures and used an identification card to name what they discovered.@ComputingBedfo1
After the excitement of observing the pond creatures (we even had a stickleback!) the children learnt how to make a Pic collage, adding a background, images and text to share learning about their session. What a fantastic afternoon @HiimpactZack@ComputingBedfo1@BedfordScience1
More instructions for Beebot in @ComputingBedfo1 this week. Forwards, backwards, left and right. We had to send him from one point to another. It was great fun!
Year 5 had a fantastic time this week creating their own interactive quizzes using scratch! The children chose different outcomes for what would happen to their sprite depending on if the player got the question right or not! @ComputingBedfo1
Computing @ComputingBedfo1@Year3_Bedford have started their unit of work on branching databases today. We started off by looking at open/closed questions and then used closed questions to find the object our partner chose
@hiimpactconsult 5FM enjoyed their air rocket workshop with @hiimpactDave & Tom. They investigated types of rocket fin, created their own rockets, launched them into the air then compared results. Finally they created a PicCollage to show everything theyβd done. @ComputingBedfo1
We used a graph website to turn our data into a bar chart, then used this in our PicCollage. The furthest distance for our rockets to travel was a whopping 25m ππππ @hiimpactconsult@hiimpactDave@ComputingBedfo1
Yesterday we enjoyed a Hi-Impact robot workshop, the children played coding apps on the iPads, programmed the Code-a-Pillar, Indi robot cars and the Sphero π€ π π #UW#CLL#PSED
