The Nigerian Government has queued into the thriving global outsourcing market which has grossed almost $350 billion for seven top countries that engaged in it, with a view to tapping into its huge job opportunities for the nation's teeming youths.
Accordingly, Vice President @KashimSM will on Monday, March 4, 2024 in Gombe State, launch the Outsource To Nigeria Initiative (OTNI), a Private sector-led, Government-enabled programme anchored by the Office of the Vice President.
It is designed to create jobs in the business process and technology-enabled outsourcing sector.
The initiative is part of efforts and determination to actualize the agenda of President @officialABAT's administration on job creation.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu presides over the Federal Executive Council Meeting at the State House Council Chambers after swearing in the Federal Commissioner representing Lagos in the National Population Commission, Mrs Olayinka Oladunjoye
The Federal Government has hinted at plans to establish a National Commodity Board as a solution to the escalating food inflation in the country.
In tackling price volatility, the board will be given the mandate to assess and regulate food prices, as well as maintain a strategic food reserve for stabilizing prices of crucial grains and other food items.
Vice President @KashimSM disclosed this on Tuesday during a two-day high-level strategic meeting on climate change, food systems, and resource mobilization held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
I attended the 2nd National Labour Adjudication and Arbitration Forum, organized by the Nigeria Workers' Consultative Association (NECA), held in Abuja today.
The event, themed: "Strengthening Tripartism and Social Dialogue (including Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanism) for a sustainable industrial relations system in Nigeria," was organised to explore better alternative dispute resolution mechanisms within the context of government-labour relations, with the ultimate goal of aligning such mechanisms with established international best practice.
In my goodwill message, commending NECA for facilitating discussions on critical labour issues and the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN) for their contributions, I encouraged participants to engage in constructive dialogue while seeking solutions.
I am confident that if this conversation is sustained, it will improve the already established standard of dispute resolution mechanism in the country. Like the Honourable Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation urged today, successful negotiations require flexibility and a willingness to make concessions in exchange for progress.
I thank the organisers for coming up with this noble idea in such a time in the history of our country.

Following concerns raised by organised labour and a 14-day ultimatum issued, I convened a meeting yesterday to foster open dialogue between the government and the Organised labour.
During the meeting, I reaffirmed the government's commitment to the agreement signed on 2nd October 2023. I also appealed to organized labour to stand united with us and find common ground.
Be rest assured, Nigerians, that concrete actions will be taken within this week to address some of the concerns raised. Efforts are underway to achieve compliance as swiftly as possible.
I express my sincerest gratitude to the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC), as well as representatives of the Presidential CNG Initiative (Pi-CNG), for their participation in this crucial dialogue.
