Let me explain how Governor Dapo Abiodun achieved this jump in tourism revenue. {See videos attached}.

Immediately after the free-entry period ended at Olumo Rock, the operational management of Olumo Rock was concessioned under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) to Whatadeal Ltd, a subsidiary of SystemSpecs.

By taking routine operations out of the traditional civil service structure and placing them in the hands of a performance-driven private operator, revenue efficiency improved significantly. It transformed the site from N3million annual revenue to N10million weekly revenue. When annualized, this is an increase of around 12,900%.

Additionally, the city of Milan has partnered with Abeokuta North LG to bring the cultural heritage of Olumo Rock of Olumo Rock to the Milan Design Week 2026 (April 22–26). 

The project is titled— Artnovation: The Rock That Remembers.

This same concession model has also been applied to the operations and handling of the Gateway International Airport. The cargo terminal of the Gateway International Airport and the state-owned Gateway Air are being managed by ValueJet under similar arrangements.

The simple work-out: Build public assets, then concession operations to capable private managers.

Yesterday, I felt incredibly proud to be from Iperu; not because of the fanfare or the presence of dignitaries, but because of the real, transformative impact these projects will have on the town, Remo, and Ogun State as a whole.

From the Agro-Processing Zone,
to the Arise Iperu Free Trade Zone,
the Agro Cargo/Passenger Airport,
The International Conference Centre,
The Customs Training Institute is nearing completion,
The Aviation Housing Estate named after my late uncle, the Alaperu of Iperu,
as well as the road commissioning and several other impactful projects.

It was truly inspiring to witness such progress firsthand.

While celebrating these milestones, I also respectfully urge you to prioritize lasting solutions to the increasing insecurity across Nigeria, as a safer society is fundamental to sustaining and attracting more meaningful development

It was indeed a historic moment. God bless Governor Dapo Abiodun for these visionary initiatives. God bless Ogun State, and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria 🇳🇬
