Sheldon and his boy said the Aayalolo contra-flow system will not last more than a week. We are entering into the third week and it’s still active at Kasoa. Why do you want Ghana to fail?
The NDC this evening at its Functional Executive Meeting took an important decision.
At the meeting, a motion was tabled for consideration regarding Julius Kwame Anthony.
The Party wanted to elevate him to a senior position within the Party’s communications structure.
Following deliberations, voting took place and unanimously,
Julius Kwame Anthony was approved.
He’s now Deputy Director of Communications of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Somebody should kindly tell Julius Anthony to be bold and throw his hat into the ring for the National Communication Officer position of the NDC. SG was very young when he boldly put himself forward for the role years back, and he went on to do remarkably well. I believe Julius Anthony is one of the few people with the energy and intellect to fill Sammy’s shoes.
Be bold @fatheranthoni. You may be surprised by the number of people who are ready to throw their weight behind you. You would make a super worthy successor to Sammy, with Karim as your Deputy.
Sometimes, all it takes is the courage to step forward.
I’ve had my little issues with you here in the past but if you’re good enough, and has proven in the past few months to be a worthy successor to SG, we must be willing to push and support you. Be bold, and go for it!
Today, I undertook two major events in my beloved constituency.
First, I commissioned a 6-unit classroom block for Nkroful Agricultural Secondary School at Nkroful. This project, financed through the MP’s Common Fund, is intended to enhance teaching and learning infrastructure within the school.
Later, I inspected the ongoing construction of a modern market complex at Esiama.
The facility comprises 76 shops, 11 offices, and two sheds with partitioned spaces for petty traders.
Funded by the Ghana National Gas Company and executed by Macwest Limited, construction commenced in October 2025 and is scheduled for completion by the end of September 2026.
Upon completion, this market will significantly boost and expand commercial activities in Esiama, which serves as the central economic hub of the district.
The tide is turning in our relentless fight against illegal mining as the National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations Secretariat (NAIMOS), in collaboration with the Blue Water Guards, delivers a decisive blow to criminal syndicates in the Western Region.
This past weekend, our coordinated 48-hour crackdown successfully dismantled the infrastructure of destruction across the Ankobra River and the Tarkwa Nsuaem and Wassa Akropong districts, crippling their operations and seizing critical assets across multiple sites.
Through targeted raids, we destroyed over 80 chanfan machines and 50 makeshift boats on the Ankobra River, arrested foreign operators, and immobilized excavators and pumping equipment at illegal land sites.
We have halted immediate pollution to waterways, safeguarded surrounding farmlands and ecosystems, and secured public infrastructure from dangerous encroachment.
NAIMOS is establishing a permanent, deterring presence in these hotspots to secure our gains and ensure these critical resources are permanently protected for the future of Ghana.
