Governor Radda gave a striking example from Katsina, that a village head who was arrested had been given N700,000 by terrorists, as a bribe or some form of payment, and shortly afterward, thirty people were brutally killed in that village.

In an interview with VOA, the Governors of Katsina, Dikko Umaru Radda, and Zamfara, Dauda Lawal Dare, stated that the security challenges in the North-West have gone far beyond what anyone initially imagined.
