@BrianCAlbrecht It’s one of the few economic terms that has a weirdly positive layman’s connotation rather than a weirdly negative one (eg price discrimination, moral hazard, etc.)
In my experience, the only situation in which data.table/ggplot is not the far-away best data analysis combo is when the size of the data approaches or exceeds RAM.
I don't actually use R for data analysis/structural models, I use data.table and ggplot2 and Rcpp. R just happens to be the slightly awkward platform that the tools I like are built on. R is, however, reasonably good at staying out of the way and letting me use my tools
