Grabbing lunch. Young woman checking me out asked where my accent is from. I said Australia.

She asked, "no offense, but why would you move here?"

It's so crazy to me how much some Americans don't seem to understand how good they have it here.

America has inbuilt freedoms. Inbuilt opportunity. It has so, so many things that other Western countries do not.

That's not to say there aren't awesome things about other Western countries. There are. But America is pretty awesome too.

It makes me sad people don't see that or have any pride in where they come from.
