Disappointing some journalists suggest MP 2.9% pay rise on "basic" of £84,100 is showing restraint in contrast to say nurses & teachers.

It's a £2,500 pay rise, plus what may be paid for committees, cabinet roles & of course, the black hole of MP expenses.

It's not the same.
