@TJDMCR Allen absolutely is not a lock. A lock would imply that they could retire today and would be a hall of famer. Allen is on par with Lamar for that status. The only current NFL QB HOF locks are Mahomes, Rodgers and Stafford. And even still people debate Stafford.
@samemesome@LAW0MAN I mean considering Harrison Mevis is number 92 and a kicker isn't going to line up for D-line drills... Pretty obvious this isn't recent.
@TermitoBostero The average referee retires between 45-48 (FIFA used to force retirement at 45). Do you know how much running a referee is required to do during a game? The guy completed his dream and retired. Not his fault Spain was by far a better team than Argentina.
@newreyreal2 Ok and? Nico Williams was subbed in the 75th minute and had 2 big chances created to Pedri's 1 BCC. We can nit pick stats all day, but the reality is as a whole Pedri had a subpar world cup.
@NealGardner_ How are you going to list 3 players that have only been with them one season? Pretty unreasonable to write them off. But then again you can't give an objective opinion so it's not surprising.
@IvaanBlanco26 Laporte, Cucurella and Porro. Honerable mention to Olmo as well, but that whole back line was unreal and kept up that level from the start of each game until the end.
@Kevin_Siqueira@C0DEINEDREAMING@strawsinanapple Essentially the thing is raw athleticism alone does not make somebody an elite athlete. Adama Traoré is more athletic than Messi, but Messi is a better athlete because he has better functional ⚽️ skills, better intangible skills like elite vision, and success.
@Kevin_Siqueira@C0DEINEDREAMING@strawsinanapple You’re essentially saying a ⚽️ has better attributes that make them a better ⚽️ player. And no not every ⚽️ will have better agility and body control. Look at guys like Lamar Jackson and Justin Jefferson. Foot eyes coordination is negated in an athleticism debate by hand eyed…
@Kevin_Siqueira@C0DEINEDREAMING@strawsinanapple Americans and Europeans don't disagree on this. Athleticism by definition is measured by those biomotor abilities. However, while athleticism is a major core to a great athlete, many other factors go into it. Tom Brady is one of the greatest athletes, but lacks raw athleticism.
@henry_moro@Messilizer0@LuisHernadezGo1 Probably because they are too busy celebrating and don't give two shits about the actions of a bunch of children in adult bodies because they are champions of the world. They handled themselves professionally, instead of stooping to their level.
@henry_moro@Messilizer0@LuisHernadezGo1 Mocking in the face? They were literally running straight to their teammates. Rodri didn't even look at Molina and you think he was mocking him? Actually insane the narratives you guys try to create in your minds to justify the most disgraceful sore losers in World Cup history.
@Whu_Justin@NealGardner_ Netherlands by no means dominated them. In both legs Spain led in shots, expected goals, possession, and touches in opposition box. Netherlands certainly played them the best, but "dominated Spain" who was also dealing with key injuries, is just factually incorrect.
@Messilizer0@LuisHernadezGo1 "Defending his teammates" oh you mean the aggressors who started it by hitting Rodri then attacking those who were deescalating it by getting between Rodri and Molina? Yeah that's some wild historical negationism right there my guy.
@gregoirebettant@MeteoFootMaps 0.31 expected goals is still pretty useless, yes. Lower expected goals than both Belgium and Portugal. That is more telling on the quality of the shots. But to be fair to them every team's offense was pretty useless against them.
@EpticityOG@MCIBest@neba10_ He had no business playing in that world cup. It was only due to his relationship with Lucho. He could hardly even move and Morocco exploited him being on the field using a pincer press that rendered him completely useless.
@theMadridZone Their biggest need since Kroos retired and Modric left? A deep lying playmaker. Rodri, the best deep lying playmaker in the world when healthy, is apparently available and wanting to join, but Perez doesn't want him? That old man needs to go.
