Here’s what this means for you:

Across Claude products, new sessions will run on your selected default model or Opus 4.8, and existing Fable 5 sessions will end with an error.

On the Claude Platform, requests to Fable 5 will also return an error. Please update your integrations to other Claude models.

Was given a windows 3.1 laptop when I was 7 by my drug dealer dad. Learned every feature and program included. I went through every menu and option. Soon I got AOL dialup, found cheat codes for my favorite video games, got into chat rooms. That led to me learning more about HTML and scripting. That led me to roms and emulators, I was playing red and blue Pokémon before it was released in the US. Looked up hex editing for translations. Dbz rips taking entire nights to download one episode. Got more into pc gaming, lived through the golden age of pc games. That led me to modding HL, quake 3, and unreal. That led me to take computer science classes in high school, learned Visual Basic and C+. That brought me to college and later to my career in tech.

The old internet was such a gem and golden resource.
