This is your wakeup call.
Anthropic just took down Fable 5. It's over.
Here's the thing tho: no company or government will EVER be able to take away your local models.
There are Opus level models you can run right now on your home GPUs, and nobody can ever stop you from using them
This is only the beginning of events like this. Day 1. More government overreach will happen. This will only keep happening more and more as models get closer to AGI
Become sovereign. Buy your own compute. Before even that becomes illegal
As a result of a US government directive, we are suspending access to Claude Fable 5 for all users. You can continue to use all other Claude models.
Here’s what this means for you:
Across Claude products, new sessions will run on your selected default model or Opus 4.8, and existing Fable 5 sessions will end with an error.
On the Claude Platform, requests to Fable 5 will also return an error. Please update your integrations to other Claude models.
We know this is a disruption to your workflows; we appreciate your patience and support.
@WarMonitor3 It’s not like they’re building military bases next to China with artificially created islands or anything. That would be dangerous military expansionism.
@nkulw Ah yes liberal Jews pushing for mass migration. All so the right wing Jews can present them selves as the solution to the problems it brings.
Start with Israel’s hatred of immigrants or “gentiles”
@cenkuygur I theorized this exactly during the Epstein transparency act push. It was allowed to move forward because Trump was wavering on Iran. They’ve been holding a gun to his head the whole time.
Congress is completely in on it outside of a handful of individuals.
Was given a windows 3.1 laptop when I was 7 by my drug dealer dad. Learned every feature and program included. I went through every menu and option. Soon I got AOL dialup, found cheat codes for my favorite video games, got into chat rooms. That led to me learning more about HTML and scripting. That led me to roms and emulators, I was playing red and blue Pokémon before it was released in the US. Looked up hex editing for translations. Dbz rips taking entire nights to download one episode. Got more into pc gaming, lived through the golden age of pc games. That led me to modding HL, quake 3, and unreal. That led me to take computer science classes in high school, learned Visual Basic and C+. That brought me to college and later to my career in tech.
The old internet was such a gem and golden resource.
