We took a different path. Conclave has its own engine, built from scratch in Rust — no Chromium, no ads, no telemetry, no data-selling business model.

Milestone: Conclave's DOM engine — built from scratch in Rust — now passes over 85% of WPT's DOM suite, the same conformance tests Chrome and Firefox are measured against.

No Chromium underneath. Just our own engine, held to the real spec.

Next up: HTML & CSS.

How? We wrote every layer ourselves — HTML/CSS engine, a JS runtime with a JIT, TLS 1.3, image/font/video decoders, a GPU compositor. ~337K lines of Rust, zero third-party crates.
