@Dicention@JWMediaDC That's almost all of FBS. It will be 40 or less IMO. Teams 60-80 can't hang financially with the top 20. That's part of the current problem.
Tuesday is Aug. 15, the deadline for any ACC school that wants to leave the league and compete elsewhere for the 2024 season.
The most likely outcome is that Tuesday's deadline arrives and passes, and the Seminoles stay put, sources tell @TheAthletic: https://t.co/LBKYN9Maff
Conference Pangea. There will be one league that breaks away from the NCAA. We've all seen this coming for a while now. The current round of realignment is just a step toward this ultimate and inevitable reality. #CollegeFootball#conferencerealignment
I agree with Alberts that this is where things are headed with college football.
The participating teams will all be part of a new organization that bundles and sells its tv rights, like the NFL.
And the new organization will bargain with the players/employees.
@johncanzanobft Gonna be some VERY interesting matchups in the final season of the old-school Pac-12. That will probably boost viewership and make folks even saltier about how this all burned down.
@psc_highlights It just happened in D2. The Lone Star Conference dropped Simon Fraser (the only NCAA football school in Canada) earlier this spring. The school announced a month later they were dropping football immediately throwing the 2023 LSC schedule in disarray. https://t.co/GXuaQoWme1
