Honored to be invited to the White House this afternoon to witness @POTUS sign my bill, along with two other fiscally responsible FY26 @HouseAppropsGOP funding bills, into law.
I’m deeply proud of the effort that went into this critical legislation, and its accomplishments that work to advance an America First policy agenda.
It was great spending the morning at @NatlParkService's Minidoka National Historic Site celebrating the impact of the Great American Outdoors Act, which addresses high-priority maintenance needs across the National Park System, including right here at Minidoka.
Our national parks are among our nation’s crown jewels. This news is welcome as we celebrate America’s newest national park.
Americans are grateful to have an Administration that prioritizes our national parks and the opportunities they provide millions each year to get outdoors and learn about the places and people of our great country.
Chiricahua’s towering rock spires, rich Apache heritage and remarkable biodiversity make it one of America’s most extraordinary landscapes.
This new designation will shine a national spotlight on one of Arizona’s hidden gems, creating opportunities to welcome more visitors, strengthen local economies and share this incredible landscape with more Americans.

Idaho is home to nearly 25,000 farms and ranches producing more than 185 commodities.
On National Farmer's Day, we thank Idaho's hard-working farmers for putting food on our tables and powering the economy. I am proud to stand with our farmers!
Happy Columbus Day!
Today, we celebrate the spirit of exploration, honor the contributions of Italian Americans, and recognize the courage to venture into the unknown.
We will never forget October 7th and the atrocities committed by Hamas terrorists.
Three years ago today, Hamas launched a horrific terror attack on Israel. These terrorists beheaded babies, raped women, and kidnapped the elderly. Please join me in remembering the innocent lives lost.
In a world of growing antisemitism, we must combat hatred whenever we see it. Antisemitic hate has no place in Idaho, America, or anywhere in the world.
At Forterra’s Idaho test range, we push autonomous mission systems through extreme temperatures and unforgiving terrain. @KMVTNews joined @CongMikeSimpson, @RepEllzey, and our CGO @scott_sv to see that work up close.
The autonomy tested here is already powering resupply missions in Ukraine. Unmanned vehicles carry medical supplies, food, and ammunition to the front lines, sustaining operations while keeping soldiers off dangerous routes.

I've been a longtime supporter of Higher Ground and their impactful mission. For over 25 years, Higher Ground has served people with disabilities, veterans, and first responders. Their work across the country is incredible, and I appreciate having the opportunity to visit and tour their facility again.
I joined my colleagues in requesting an investigation into the activities of Planned Parenthood.
We outlined our concerns and look forward to receiving answers.
Republican lawmakers are putting Planned Parenthood's federal funding under the microscope.
A coalition of 128 House and Senate Republicans is asking the HHS Inspector General to conduct a broad review of taxpayer dollars going to Planned Parenthood and its affiliates and, if appropriate, open an investigation.
If federal officials uncover misconduct, the lawmakers want them to consider measures ranging from administrative action and suspension to exclusion from federal healthcare programs or referrals to other authorities.
The request comes while the SBA separately reviews whether 38 Planned Parenthood affiliates were eligible for more than $88 million in COVID-era PPP loans. That review itself is not a finding that the affiliates broke the law.
There's more in the lawmakers' request than the PPP money. Read what else they want examined:

Americans nationwide just remembered 25 years since radical Islamic terrorists killed 2,977 people, and the threat of Sharia law in the United States continues to be on the rise.
Sharia law has no place in this country and is incompatible with American values, our way of life, and the United States Constitution. Proud to join @RepKeithSelf and @RepChipRoy's Sharia Free America Caucus.
Turning the page from FY26 → FY27. 📖🎉
Happy Fiscal New Year!
The government is open, and the mission remains the same: move the appropriations process forward and complete full-year funding.
First, an approps countdown - from 12 all the way to 0. ⬇️https://t.co/6YF41TEIUF
For 50 years, the Hyde Amendment has helped protect unborn lives and restricted federal funding for abortion.
Today, we celebrate its lifesaving legacy. House Republicans will ALWAYS stand for life.
Idaho is ready to help write the next chapter of space exploration! @CongMikeSimpson & I made the case for why Idaho should be part of the conversation about the future of the U.S. Space Academy.
From INL’s leadership in space nuclear technology to the STEM talent being developed at Idaho universities, our state has the expertise and resources to help prepare the next generation of space leaders. https://t.co/7RXUgRW3xm
Op-ed:
Gov. Brad Little and Congressman Mike Simpson argue that Idaho National Laboratory's space nuclear expertise makes Idaho a contender for the new United States Space Academy.

The Hyde Amendment has saved millions of precious American lives for 50 years.
There is no right in the Constitution to force me, or anyone else who believes that abortion is morally wrong, to take money from my pocket and fund abortions.
President Trump's second term has been about American greatness and innovation. His EO establishing the Presidential Commission on the U.S. Space Academy reaffirms just that.
That's why @GovernorLittle and I believe that Idaho should be part of the conversation about where the Space Academy takes shape.
