If the rewrite of the FISMA legislation currently through Congress still require the CISO to report to the CIO, Federal cyber governance will remain a challenge. The CISO must attest to the security of the technology implemented by the CIO, and that's a deep conflict of interest.
@BrodyCyber@georgevhulme Agreed. If we want to "take security seriously" we have to stop forcing the CISO to sit at the kids table in the hallway. Have the CISO report to the CEO/Board like any other C-level exec.
