Thanks to the good leadership of His Excellency President Paul Kagame, Rwanda continues to expand its healthcare infrastructure and improve citizens’ welfare, including the development and care of young children.

- **Health Centers (Centres de Santé):** Rwanda has more than **520 health centers**.
- **Health Posts (Postes de Santé):** Available figures indicate between **1,282 and 1,700 health posts**, depending on when the data was collected.
- **Early Childhood Development Centers (ECDs):** Figures indicate more than **32,205 locations and facilities** involved in early childhood development activities.

These facilities help citizens access healthcare services closer to their homes, while early childhood development centers support children’s growth, proper nutrition, and preparation for primary school.

**These are among the achievements that reflect H.E. Paul Kagame’s vision of building a Rwanda that prioritizes citizens’ health, family welfare, and a brighter future for Rwandan children.**

# GIRINKA: H.E. PAUL KAGAME’S GOOD LEADERSHIP CONTINUES TO IMPROVE RWANDANS’ WELFARE AND INCREASE LIFE EXPECTANCY

The Girinka Munyarwanda programme is one of the key initiatives that demonstrate His Excellency President Paul Kagame’s commitment to improving citizens’ welfare, fighting malnutrition, and increasing life expectancy among Rwandans.

Through this programme, many Rwandans have received cows, helping them access milk, improve their families’ nutrition, and strengthen their household economies. As a result, milk has become more accessible to families, giving children and other citizens greater opportunities to benefit from a nutritious diet.

The Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board (RAB) has announced that since the Girinka programme was launched, a total of **406,540 cows** have been distributed to citizens. RAB also reports that the Government of Rwanda has invested more than **RWF 33 billion** in the programme.

These figures demonstrate Girinka’s contribution to promoting livestock farming, increasing milk production, and helping citizens improve their livelihoods. The programme is an example of leadership that puts citizens first and strives to ensure that national development reaches households across the country.
