.@zachshrewsbury does what he says and says what he means. The latest war bill that passed the Senate yesterday underscores that we need people like Zach in the Senate to represent working-class people and peace, not war, bombing, and more violence.
My name is Zach Shrewsbury. I am a lifelong West Virginian. Like so many here in West Virginia I have experienced struggle, and I have seen heartbreak.
Now, I'm running to replace Joe Manchin and keep West Virginia's Senate seat blue. Join me: https://t.co/rXsh1kBXfM
Here's a fantastic candidate to follow and support. Replacing retiring @Sen_JoeManchin with a working-class candidate is a no brainer. Zach is an ex-Marine who puts peace over profits every day.
Our average donation is $33.99. Our campaign is propelled by everyday people, not the 1%. If having a working-class Senator is important to you, sign up for a monthly $10 contribution to our campaign: https://t.co/rXsh1kBXfM
Thank you all so much for the support already.
Please read the long thread. @stevenpiasecki was my fantastic Comms Director and now he needs help because we have the most corrupted, inhumane, inefficient, and deadly healthcare system among all so-called developed countries. #MedicareForAll
LONG THREAD: On Friday @stevenpiasecki who was my fantastic Communications Director on the congressional campaign, who cofounded @catchfiremvmt with me, and who has been fighting for progressive movement all his young life (he is 26), sent me this text on Friday afternoon. (1/10)
7/7 AOC is not alone. Other members of Congress are funneling $ to their congressional colleagues through affiliated PACs (in addition to or in place of their own candidate committees). They raise money from the same sources that give for their re-election. It's totally corrupted
6/7 Let's look at other TO's contributions that @AOC added to: big agro/ chemicals (Syngenta), big pharma (Merck, Cigna), arms industry (Honeywell, General Dynamics), big comms (Comcast, Verizon, Cox). See all: https://t.co/2gVD5ETtlq
5/7 This is a stab into the back of all progressive challengers, not only to our former campaign. But oddly it also makes me more motivated to run again. Can't promise but with the team we are in serious discussions.
4/7 "All endorsees will embody the ideals of racial, social, economic, and environmental justice. Courage to Change will refuse all corporate PAC donations, as will our candidates.
3/7 cont. "... to make early investments in progressive challengers that can even the playing field against established incumbents, and bolster progressive leaders in Congress who take difficult but righteous stands.
2/7 AOC'c PAC claims: "...to reward challengers and incumbents who display political courage — people who refuse to bow to establishment pressure, who advocate ferociously for working-class families, and who have lived the same struggles as the people they seek to represent.
1/7 FEC reports are out. @AOC's Courage to Change PAC doesn't live up to its own declared purpose. She gave $5,000 to @RepOHalleran, one of the top recipients of corporate health care donations in Congress and a strong opponent of #MedicareForAll and #GND.
If you really want to help transform our country for better, help authentic, consistent, and unafraid progressives win local races. @JohnForAurora supports #GND and #M4A. I just donated. Join me! Donate, RT, repeat. https://t.co/hDklFqhNXY
Police have now arrested over 100 people for the Capitol riot by Trump supporters seeking to overturn the election.
In June, DC police arrested 289 people after peaceful anti-racism protests 1 block away from the White House — 5X the arrests made the day of the Capitol attack.

Show some love to my nephews @putzviliam and @SamuelPutz3 for this cover of Queen - Fat Bottomed https://t.co/PIta38VR0c. They live in Slovakia, making music since age 3 and naturally play all instruments on this cover. I'm in love! 😍😍😍
Last night in Flagstaff was extremely cold and windy. I have not experienced anything like that in 20 years. 2 people were found dead referred to the media as “transient.” Not having a shelter in a city with 23 percent of second homes is unacceptable. #housingcrisis
2) Together, we showed everyone that people in Arizona’s First District do want Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, tuition-free college, and a just future for all.
And while our fight will continue outside of Congress, it won’t stop. Not by a long shot.
Until next time. ✊
