Big news: Kimi-K3 by @Kimi_Moonshot is now #1 in the Frontend Code Arena with 1679 pts, surpassing Claude Fable 5.
This is a 17-place jump from Kimi-k2.6 (#18 -> #1).
In Frontend, Kimi-K3 ranked #1 in 6 of 7 domains: Brand & Marketing, Reference-Based Design, Data & Analytics, Consumer Product, Simulations, and Content Creation Tools, landing #2 only in Gaming behind Fable 5.
The full model weights will be released by July 27.
Congrats to the @Kimi_Moonshot team on this major milestone!
You can use Animated Texture resource with Projective Textures. Here I have created this caustics effect in my Apple Vision Pro app using a Low Level Texture API released last year on VisionOS. The Orb has a Bloom Component on it creating a beautiful glow.
Playing around with the new Device Hub and found a nice surprise: we can now launch apps on Vision Pro from a Mac🎉
This is going to make demos so much easier.
No more helplessly watching family and friends trying to find Encounter Dinosaurs 😂
After spending some time with the new visionOS 27 APIs and Reality Composer Pro 3, I get the feeling that Apple is opening up more of the underlying platform to developers than it did ove the past two years.
Lighting, blooming, cloth simulation, Gaussian Splatting, and more.
Not to mention that Reality Composer Pro 3 feels like a completely new engine-like editor, now much more decoupled from Xcode.
Most of these updates aren't features that end users will immediately notice. But they directly expand what artist, designers and developers can build.
visionOS 27 introduces a new widget that can instantly connect to Mac Virtual Display, without you needing it to have the Mac nearby.
You litterally just need to have your keyboard and mouse ready.
This is the setup of the future.
