Young female athletes are pushed so hard and are told to buck up and put their emotions on the back burner. It is SO important for coaches and friends and teammates to look out for their sisters on the court/field/track. Mental health is absolutely killer.
College me took being an athlete for granted. Someone designing a fitness plan for me, not having to think twice about what I need to develop and just mindlessly doing it, AND having the workouts fit into my schedule around priorities FOR me?!
Post-athletics Con is struggling😵💫
The look of absolute astonishment on students faces when you tell them you care about them is always something that makes my heart happy and break at the same time. The amount of, “nobody else does… are you sure you do?” Will always get to me.
I wore Birkenstocks to work yesterday. Today, while decorating the food drive box, my class drew a picture of my toes on the box and labeled it, “Ms. B’s Dogs”. Can someone get they kids please 😭
“Ms. B, when you be coaching do you be yelling at them at 8 in the morning like you do us?”
My guys, it ain’t even yelling. It’s asking you to keep your hands to yourself. 🙄
At the end of my first week of teaching, I’ve slept 12 hours my first day off, worked 4 hours over my paid time, and had one parent concerned about pronoun use in the classroom. 🫠
A student today told me he will be great at swimming (the elective I’m teaching) because his mom has great “built-in-floatation devices,” then casually proceeded to point to his own chest.
I was at a loss for words, y’all.
@gabrielledianeh We absolutely will! And thank you! Congrats on yours! Your kiddos are so lucky to have someone who is providing such great resources and tools 🤩🫶🏻
@Ttice82 Hi! First year 7th Grade ELA/ SS teacher here! It would be a blessing to have my list for my classroom library noticed! 🐯🖤💛
Thank you! 🤩

Nah bc this is how it felt when NCU’s bus driver tried to turn the bus around on a HILL in the middle of nowhere-wine country, CA. I really thought we were gonna die, bruh.
