Mogadore boys basketball coach Conner Wess was board approved on Monday.
Wess (Coventry, 2016) was a PTC Metro Division POY and won a pair of league titles.
He played at Walsh University and spent last year as an assistant under Mike Fuline at the University of Mount Union.
One thing about π training and being a trainer is there has to be days strictly enforcing contact and seeking contact. Too many finesse moves during training sessions that don't translate to real games. Gotta hit someone and simulate game finishes and controlling them.
Shoots it when defenders step off.
Gets to 2 feet in the paint when they crowd him.
Simple reps but he mastered them. Didn't overcomplicate.
Make the game easy !
I work at a charter school in CLE where I deal with kids who come from troubled backgrounds and homes.
I take the students over to the gym on Tuesdays to play 3-on-3 and thereβs a kid in my class who plays harder than anyone Iβve seen this Spring.
He competes solely because he LOVES it and wants to talk shit to me the next day at school. A lot of you kids have an opportunity to play for a free education (plus some) and you piss it away because you feel like everything should go your way.
My students would KILL to have your problems.
Actually more kids should do this, work on ya IQ, work on picking up on action, work on setting good screens. This would significantly improve a lot of young players.
Couple questions to consider before getting a π trainer.. Out of the 100 clips you saw other trainers doing do those reps even translate to your game? Or does it just look/feel good to rep out since others are doing it? Don't waste π° do what translates to YOUR betterment.
This is AWESOME
Look how much fun he is having guarding the ball. You should take pride in locking down great players.
This is what itβs all about
