@YDuyols@CCTransfers16 Has Fernandes signed for someone yet? Must've missed that! Utd has had one of the biggest wage bills over the last 13 years. How many PL's have we won again? Have some patience and judge how the windows gone in due course.
@YDuyols@CCTransfers16 But they addressed the top half of the pitch, achieved Champions League qualification, and have gotten the wages back to a more sustainable level. We couldn't spend ยฃ400m plus last season to address everywhere now, could we? This isn't Football Manager.
@YDuyols@CCTransfers16 Would you rather they buckle and consistently overpay each time? Look at how well last year's window went. Patience is key, especially as the financial landscape has changed. The closer we get to the end of June, the more it favours United.
@Weareutdpod Consolidate 3rd place (top 4 minimum) in the League and Quarter Finals of Champions League. Would love an FA cup win or at least a deep run, too. Achieve this by playing good football and continuing to integrate academy players, where possible & for me, it's a successful season.
@Muppetiers ยฃ55m+5 for Fernandes and Ederson for circa โฌ40m (Say ยฃ30m + 4/5m) would be a solid start. Should leave enough headroom for an Anderson/Tonali/Tchouameni if things work out. Failing any of those, maybe that's when Baleba comes into play? Who knows, should be exciting regardless!
@writtenoff_mufc Anderson for sure, failing that, then make a play for Tchouameni. Either of those should more than replace Casemiro - Anderson could be akin to when LFC signed VVD or Rice for AFC.
M.Fernandes is my number 2. Modern midfielder with great upside.
Ederson or Baleba #3
@writtenoff_mufc Vlahovic is on a free, but he wouldn't be my cup of tea. Muriqi possibly but he'd be expensive considering his age. Schick could be slightly cheaper and he's younger too.
