I thought this might be a fun little game: Comment your top 2 chase cards below!
Let’s spread some good luck mojo by adding some 🍀🍀🍀🍀 too!
We’ll all pull our chase cards soon, no doubt!
I’ll start with mine:
EA was bought by a private equity firm a couple of years ago.
I need every single chud gamer to hear this: this is what is ACTUALLY ruining gaming—not “DEI” or “wokeness.”
Private equity wrings out industries for profit—sacrificing quality in the process. Now we won’t get ME4.
Veilguard did not kill BioWare. Private equity killed BioWare. Money killed BioWare. Corporate greed killed BioWare. Shut the fuck up about wokeness and Veilguard for fuck’s sake. Holy shit
EA shuts down Bioware
New Mass Effect game is cancelled
EA CEO Andrew Wilson made 38 million dollars this year and 30 million dollars in 2025
sick hell yea
A group of ticket reselling platforms are suing Washington, DC over a new law
The law will cap resale prices for most non-sports event tickets at 10% above their original price
@TheMadWonka Hot take but I find all 3 prequels the exact same level. It’s confusing to me people have such strong feelings from one to the other. The acting and cringe is in equal parts in all movies. Jar Jar is the only real stand out but he’s not THAT bad. 🤷♂️
I watched a couple Netflix movies recently- The Whisper Man and Unabomber- and they're so bad. Netflix has a house style now, there's a particular stink all their original movies have. You can see it in the ugly way they're shot, the dumbed down way the stories are told. You can kind of see where at some point there were ideas in these movies that would have been interesting to the people who agreed to make them, and then you can see where they went through a gauntlet of studio notes and reshoots to make them stupid. A few years ago Netflix was throwing money at filmmakers like Scorsese and Fincher because they wanted to win some Oscars to prove that they're a real studio, and Fincher was saying that they were the best place to make movie. That's all over now. Instead what they make is trash for the lowest common denominator to watch on their phones
@JoshuaTookes Psh, good question. Top of my head I can only think of Treasure Planet, Big Hero 6, and Tarzan. One of which the Mom is barely present and the other 2 are adoptive Mothers. 🤷♂️
Just to be clear, I am not leaving The Batman Part II. I am profoundly grateful to Steven for coming to my aid during this challenging time to help me finish principal photography. Thank you to all for your concern and well wishes. 🦇
@Niharikam1 I have several close friends going 1 year+ still job searching. I luckily have a job but I’ve been unsuccessful in finding a new one for over a year now.
@unusual_whales I’m in Utah and we’ve got homes that were bought for $150,000 in 1990 selling for 1.2-1.4 million today, that’s why.
No one is willing to pay that price for mediocre homes. Worse yet, small townhomes with no yards go for $500,000+ at 6.5% int. 🙄
@keldorjedii Honestly, hot take, but Outlaws is also a fantasticly fun Star Wars game with its current updates. Some of the most fun I’ve had exploring Tatooine and pulling off heists. Doesn’t deserve the hate it got.
