I am surprised that social media and AI companies aren't ahead of the curve on labeling, its such an easy win... in August 2026 EU AI Act and California SB 942 come into effect, while both China (CAC) and India (IT Rules) already require metadata marking.
@JohnSexton8676@moultano Its not that simple, in Europe for example you do a 6 year medical degree instead of the US 4 year undergrad + 4 year med school.
Law school is the same, Europe varies but often 5-8 years and in UK you do extra school anyways to litigate (barrister).
@moultano Why not start in high school since its more efficient? Or middle school to really get ahead? Hell why not pick a job at birth and only teach you the things you need for that job.
Breaking news. The "Judge, they already confiscated all the drugs. The danger to the community has been taken care of," argument didn't go over as well as I would've liked it to
Can’t believe I waited so long to hire full time employees. Was working until 1AM every night and the was effectively talking to myself all day. Not healthy if you’re trying to grow a firm (or live generally).
I actually use AI the perfect amount. Anyone who uses it less than me is a hopeless Luddite destined for the underclass, anyone who uses it more than me is mindlessly degrading their literacy and erudition.
I am writing articles for fun on topical issues and really enjoying it. Alas methinks I have been reading too much historical lit.
I'll need to remove the liberal sprinkling of "thereby", "heretofore", and "whence" and count myself lucky I didn't drop a "forsooth" or "betwixt"
I’m getting entire emails from clients drafted by AI. Random bolded words. Mid paragraph bulleted lists. Rationale included for every thought.
Can’t even bother to take on the task of writing “Hi Matt.” We’re doomed.
@bubbleboi That doesn't seem to be supported by the evidence.... Top attorneys are often the best paid, but paying a lot DOES NOT guarantee a great attorney.
Big Law firms only win 7% more than small ones in aggregate, and often lose to specialist boutiques. https://t.co/JJ4mFC2X5n
The Florida Digital Bill of Rights might as well have just named Google, Amazon, and Apple.
