@STLfan006457 I believe the only return for those players were two (below-average) seasons from Marcel Ozuna, Matthew Liberatore, and cash considerations.
Now TON, Hicks, and Flaherty looking to keep the tradition going…
@STLfan006457 Former Cardinals past 5 seasons:
Lynn (CYA5, CYA6, CYA3)
Alcantara (AS, CYA1)
Gallen (CYA9, CYA5, CYA3)
Arozarena (AS)
Garcia (AS, MVP14)
7 Cy young worthy seasons, 3 AS seasons, and an MVP worthy season.
The average cost of those seasons was $4.2 million per player per season.
Is it wrong to say let the books decide? Money keeps the bias out of it. Every single top 10 team would be favored by 10+ points if they played FSU next Saturday. They aren’t a playoff team.
The @Cardinals now have the reigning AL leader in hits allowed, NL leader in hits allowed, and MLB leader in homers allowed in one rotation. They’re all >35 years old and being payed a combined $39 million next season. And it’s purposeful. Not just dumb misfortune 😂
@PowerMizzoucom@drewking0222 There cannot be a single D1 basketball team getting less from their transfer class than Mizzou. Bates has been the only positive contributor.
@BJStLReppin@MSwain247 If you were in line for the biggest payday of your life because an opposing pharmacy needed your services, are you going to make it seem like you hate your job -or- are you going to act like you love it so they need to pay you more? Ryan Wingo just did this to Mizzou 😂
@BJStLReppin@Cardinals Being friends with Brent is almost psychological warfare. I just typed in “Jordan Hicks” in every search bar in every group chat and social media page I own, and I haven’t typed that name since 2021. I literally feel like I’m being driven to insanity by your trolling.
Joey Gallo, the extreme 3 true outcome hitter, has only had 1 season in the past 4 years with a K% higher than Nolan Gorman’s in AAA this year. Are you expecting Gorman to be an extreme Gallo-type profile? Otherwise, you’re getting a well below average offensive player @Cardinals
And thats without projecting his K% to spike at the MLB level. Gorman just turned 22… he’s way ahead of schedule and is still a great prospect, but he’s not the savior this year. His profile does not currently play at the MLB level the way it stands today.
@BJStLReppin@Cardinals@swagdaddyschulz I regret even engaging with you right now because you’re such a troll.
I wasn’t wrong about a single thing in this tweet. Gorman hit .226, struck out 33% of the time, and didn’t make the post-season roster in 2022 😂
Montgomery: 2-4 / 3.34 ERA 👍
Mikolas: 1-1 / 5.79 ERA / leads MLB with 53 hits allowed in 37.1 IP 🤮
Flaherty: 2-4 / 6.29 ERA 🤮
Matz: 0-4 / 6.39 ERA 🤮
Wainwright: 6.23 ERA in MiLB rehab 🤮
Hudson: 5.40 ERA in MiLB rehab / 31 hits allowed in 18 IP / 1.400 OPS against LHH 🤮
@bdillingham5@jprutherford What do his first starts have to do with this? This is a 57:43 timeshare between Binnington and his backups over the course of two years where the Blues have clearly been better off with whoever they throw in net over the guy making top 7 goalie money. That should never happen.
