My name is Lavern Spicer and I been Black all my life.

I only been a Republican since Donald Trump.

How did it happen?

One day I noticed that everything that was a problem in the 60s is still a problem today:

Homelessness.
Addiction.
Food insecurity.
Crime.
Illiteracy.

The world we live in got better.

But the Black community didn’t.

And the one constant is that we always vote Democrat.

That’s when the bell went off.

Our communities don’t get better because our elected officials don’t make them better.

So I started asking myself:

HOW LONG ARE WE GOING TO KEEP DOING THE SAME THING AND EXPECTING A DIFFERENT RESULT?

I realized I had spent my entire life being told that voting Democrat was the only way for Black people.

It took me to stop and ask IS IT WORKING?

I didn’t become a Republican because somebody told me to.

I became a Republican because I started LOOKING AT THE RESULTS.

And once I did that, I couldn’t unsee it.

That’s the conversation I want to have with my brothers and sisters.

Not “Why aint you voting Republican?”

But: WHY ARE YOU VOTING FOR PEOPLE WHO NEVER FIX YOUR PROBLEMS?

This morning, a police officer arrived at our home—where our seven children were still sleeping. The officer notified my wife and I that they had received a credible pipe bomb threat targeting me and my family. We are all safe and the threat has been cleared. We want to thank law enforcement for their professionalism and bravery.

I will not be bullied or intimidated. Never. President Trump has called on me to serve—and that is what I intend to do.

It is interesting to note that the way that Bill had discovered that Jill had cheated on him is when a repair man came into his venue one day in 1974 with a bill for repairs on a 1973 corvette stingray that Bill had recently bought Jill.

Confused at the encounter, Bill suggested the repair man had the wrong guy, because although yes he had bought his wife a Vette, she had said nothing about being in a car wreck. The repair man said, "Well, of course. Jill wasn't driving the car sir, Senator Biden was." When Bill confronted Jill-she had nothing to say and Bill asked for a divorce on the spot.
