🚨🇬🇧🇺🇸 TRUMP WINS EARLY ROUND IN $10BN LAWSUIT AGAINST THE BBC

Donald Trump has won a procedural victory in his $10 billion defamation case against the BBC, over its Panorama documentary that spliced together two parts of his January 6 speech, made almost an hour apart.

A Florida judge granted Trump permission to amend his complaint and threw out the BBC's attempt to dismiss the case, forcing the broadcaster to answer his revised claims. It's a step forward, not a final win, and the BBC can still fight to have it dismissed.

The edit made Trump appear to call directly for the Capitol riot, cutting his line about protesting "peacefully." The BBC's own chairman admitted it gave a "mistaken impression" and apologised. For a licence-fee broadcaster that lectures everyone on standards, that's damning.
