So I guess it's time to finally talk about this - my time at @ESCunited is coming to a close.
It has been such a blessing to work with the team for almost a decade writing 580 articles, interviewing 100+ artists, and so much more. To my team - thank you for everything.
And to @MattESCunited - thank you for taking a chance on me back in 2016. You've allowed me to do so much more then I ever imagined, and I value our friendship so much. โค๏ธ
@SchlagerKaty@Marx75 Nothing is up - I have been planning to retire since June of 2024. I stayed on this year trying to make sure my team has the time and skills needed to continue without me.
Nothing more!
Essentially if you've been wondering where I've been, I've been investing my time and energies into other things beyond ESC. I'm now part of an LGBTQ+ chorus, part of a large chosen family, and moved in with my partner. I'm not going away, just don't plan to be here as much. โฅ๏ธ
Hey friends - you may be wondering why the pod has not returned yet for season four.
The main one is that Adam and I have decided to take a break from content until after JESC. Our lives have gotten busier, we are tired, and we just need a break. Hope you understand. ๐
@smaybul For non-American viewers or the Eurovision fans in Europe yes. They didnt care/want to watch it but it was basically aimed at them.
It needed to be aimed at the average American viewer who has never seen Eurovision before BUT could lead them to it afterwards.
Ironically I rewatched the #AmericanSongContest final tonight and wanted to reiterate a few things that the contest needs to actually be successful. A ๐งต:
1. Four semi-finals and one final for a 5 episode season. The first season went on far too long to be engaging.
