I asked Will Campbell to talk and he declined last night. He had tears in his eyes.

I get it’s part of the job to talk with the media, but also understand the human element to this. Tough situation for the rookie and overall, I thought he was good to the media this year.

And to be honest, I’ve seen a number of Patriots veterans (including captains) who have refused to talk over the years after regular-season losses. So, it’s tough for me to criticize a rookie who had a tough game in the Super Bowl for not wanting to talk while crying.
