@ziz_ya@iseult@EmmaElizaCrouc1 She openly spoke about it on a podcast and people in Brooklyn see her walking around with her gf (who lives in Brooklyn).
Did it ever dawn on the geniuses at Pinterest that AI content completely destroys the entire fucking point
I can’t wait to plan a baby shower with things that don’t exist. I can’t wait to be inspired by an impossible house. Check out this kitchen that’s misleading etc etc
@NoSurrender_87@CoastalGekko@cmclymer You’re making a normative ethical claim about what artists ought to do & an aesthetic claim about what art is/is for, & presenting both as self-evident truths. That’s precisely the kind of unexamined certainty philosophy is meant to challenge.
“Sitting with your feelings” means when you feel something , sadness, anger, jealousy, whatever emotion, instead of immediately distracting yourself, numbing it, or reacting, you just let yourself feel it without running from it.
You notice it, you acknowledge it, you question it, ask yourself where it’s coming from. You don’t grab your phone, pick a fight, or eat a whole bag of chips or a big bowl of ice cream to avoid it.
You just stay present with the discomfort until you understand it better. It sounds simple but most people have never done it even once.
@JonathanShedler I’ve recently fallen into a habit of rumination and need to figure out how to correct it. It never used to be a thing I was plagued by but something shifted.
There is rumination (repetitive, circular, goes nowhere)
There is self-examination leading to new understanding, self-awareness, and change.
They are not the same things.
They are impossible to confuse. One leads to stagnation, one leads to growth. Skilled psychotherapy is the latter, never the former.
It’s beyond me why some people seem so deeply invested in pretending they are the same thing.
It is a false starting assumption. If you reason logically from a false starting assumption, the conclusion will also be false.
@qwright99924750@artman182@cmclymer You don’t choose a career as a pop star. You choose to make music and express yourself and share it and social forces do the rest. Nobody has epistemic access to the life of a pop star until they’re inside of it. Crazy someone with such a high IQ doesn’t understand this.
@qwright99924750@artman182@cmclymer More insults. Low IQ. Low emotional and social intelligence. Low curiosity. High defensiveness and irritability when world view is challenged and not validated by internet stranger
@qwright99924750@artman182@cmclymer That boundary didn’t exist as knowledge in anyone’s mind and I think it’s pretty obvious she would have LOVED if Chappell went over to the table seeing that she smiled at her and tried unsuccessfully for an interaction.
