NOAA, “The absolute worst spot in a hurricane is on the dirty side closest to the eye of the storm”
This is probably why people I know have mentioned this being the worst Cat2 they have been a part of because they are directly to the right of the eye.

Hurricane Sally is currently wrecking my hometown, friends, and family while all I can do is check in with them and hope they stay safe. Being so far away makes me feel so disconnected from hurricane season and what my friends/family are going through right now. Stay safe.
Pensacola, Florida, has already recorded 2 feet of rain this morning from Hurricane Sally, according to a preliminary National Weather Service report

The right of a hurricane is never good, since they rotate counter clockwise the hurricane forces winds and water straight to the shore. Along with the forward velocity of the hurricane this will cause more wreckage on the right side of the eye. Pensacola/Gulf Breeze are there.
This group has been mine and @Connor_Harris2's baby for the past year. So much appreciation for our e-board leaders and to the new faces who came to our meeting!
I am SO excited to see our group's presence grow at #UNCG and in the greater #triad area.
First Fall2020 Meeting✔️
Last night we had a great introductory meeting to SSP. @Connor_Harris2 did a fantastic job telling our new members about Science Policy in general and upcoming club events. We also learned all about @scipolnetwork from @MicrobialMeg.
It's official! We've sent our questionnaires off to the U.S. House and Senate candidates for North Carolina 🇺🇸 🥳

(WATCH CLOSELY) A few days ago two swarms merged on the farm. I was able to find the two queens and separate the colonies. If you watch the video, you see the bees instinctively finding their queens🐝. Happy World Bee Day!
