🚨 SSHOOPS BREAKING NEWS 🚨

🏀 AMARI DUKES — NEXT CHAPTER LOADING… 🔥

According to our sources, Amari Dukes’ transfer from TF South to Marian Catholic has recently been denied by the IHSA.

And despite the decision, we’re hearing that Dukes will NOT be returning to TF South. 👀

The 6’6” Combo/Swing Guard is now expected to take his talents elsewhere, with multiple schools across the nation reportedly showing serious interest in the talented Class of 2027 prospect. 🌎🏀

One thing is certain — the South Suburbs are going to miss Amari Dukes! His incredible presence, talent, competitiveness and impact on the court have made him one of the area’s most talked-about players. 💯🔥

As one chapter closes, another one begins…

🙏🏾 We wish Amari and his amazing family continued blessings and success as they embark on this new journey.

🏀 NEW CHAPTER. NEW OPPORTUNITY. SAME PURPOSE.

📲 SSHoops will keep you updated as soon as more information becomes available.

Some moments hit deeper than words can reach… but one word always comes to mind when I think of him:

Resilience.

I’ve known him since 5th grade. Early mornings at Hilda Walker Field—my son and I getting work in before school—and like clockwork, a group of kids would pull up and we’d run full-on games.

But one kid was different.

Every single morning, he showed up with full catcher’s gear… suited up, locked in. Then calmly packed it all back into the car before walking into school like it was nothing.

That told me everything.

This morning I get a text:
“Unc, I’m cleared to play Varsity for Marian Catholic… today’s my 17th birthday.”

After everything he’s faced—real life, not just baseball—he’s still standing tall with a 4.0+ GPA, a 31 ACT, a spirit you can’t shake, and a work ethic that separates him from the rest.

And yeah… he can flat out play.

Watching his journey continue through his junior year is special. I already know—he’s built different.

Connor Kelly… I’m beyond proud of you, nephew.

Keep going. I’m always in your corner. 🖤👏🏽🤌🏽 @Connor_Kelly_22 @MCHS_Baseball0

From Kerry Wood:

@SpartnBaseball responds in the bottom of the second with a five run inning. INF Chase Boykin (2029) gets the rally started with a two run single, OF Jazarris Mackmore Jr. (2027; Illinois-Chicago) added with this two run home run to deep CF👇.
