Alabama defensive backs coach Maurice Linguist has been a staple for the Crimson Tide the last two years on and off the field.

Linguist has brought in six defensive backs — 5 ⭐️ CB Dijon Lee Jr., 5 ⭐️ CB Jorden Edmonds, 5 ⭐️ S Jireh Edwards, 4 ⭐️ CB Chuck McDonald, 4 ⭐️ CB Zyan Gibson, and 3 ⭐️ S Rihyael Kelley since he arrived in Tuscaloosa.

His recruiting prowess and ability to retain talent on the roster is second to none.

Alabama’s strongest area in 2026 will be its defensive backs. There is a blend of elite talent, starting experience, and depth all across the board.
